Overview:
Cypress Technology Advisors is focused on helping organizations architect, deploy, and optimize modern IT infrastructure and cybersecurity solutions. We are seeking a Hybrid Solutions Engineer to support both pre-sales solution design and post-sales implementation for our customers. This role works closely with account executives, project managers, and vendor partners to assess customer requirements, design solutions, develop proposals, and lead hands-on deployment.

Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Sales Engineering (Approx. 50%)
- Partner with sales team to understand customer business goals, technical requirements, and project constraints.
- Conduct discovery calls, requirements assessments, and technical workshops.
- Architect solutions across networking, security, cloud, collaboration, and infrastructure depending on customer needs.
- Develop bill of materials (BOMs), solution designs, and technical statements of work (SOWs).
- Develop relevant services offerings including detailed work breakdowns in their areas of expertise
- Present technology solutions to customers in both technical and executivefriendly language.
- Assist in RFP/RFI responses and vendor alignment.
- Participate in product demos, proofofconcepts, and technology evaluations.
Post-Sales Engineering (Approx. 50%)
- Implement and configure solutions according to project scope and vendor best practices.
- Perform system migrations, upgrades, and integration work.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide escalation support when needed.
- Deliver technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer sessions.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure smooth delivery and ontime project completion.
- Support lifecycle management and provide recommendations for optimization or expansion.

- Collaboration: Microsoft Teams, VoIP, conferencing solutions
- Infrastructure: Nutanix, Windows Server, virtualization (VMware/HyperV), storage, data protection
Qualifications:
Required:
- 3–5+ years (5+ years for Senior-level role) of experience as a systems engineer, network engineer, solutions engineer, or similar role within a VAR, MSP, or systems integrator.
- Strong customer-facing communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Experience designing and implementing solutions across one or more key IT domains.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent pre-sales and post-sales engagements.
- Strong problem-solving skills and comfort in fast-paced environments.

Preferred:
- Industry certifications: CCNA/CCNP, NSE, PCNSE, AZ104/305, MCSE, VCP, or equivalent.
- Experience preparing BOMs and SOWs.
- Prior experience collaborating with vendor account teams and distributor partners.
Travel Considerations and Location:
This role includes a mix of remote work, onsite customer engagements, and periodic travel to partner/vendor events. Location is the Charlotte Metro-NC area and surrounding 100 mile radius.
